EMDR THERAPY
It’s an evidence-based method developed by Francine Shapiro & helps people processing painful past experiences or distressing memories. American Psychiatric Association, World Health Organization has recommended EMDR therapy for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Clinicians have reported it being effective for various issues such as depression, social phobia, chronic pain, panic attack, complicated grief, as it engages brain’ natural processing abilities to process distressing memories & reduce the symptoms. It can also be used in processing present day distress & strengthening resources for future. Brain scans have clearly indicated pre-post changes after EMDR therapy.
